The Greyhound Network
The Greyhound Network consists of volunteers with greyhound rehoming experience from the early racing days through today. The greyhound’s welfare comes first in everything we do; from welcoming the Australian greyhounds, through adoption process and ongoing support for both the hound and their adopter as they adapt to having Australian greyhounds as pets.
By partnering with adoption groups and mobilizing a nationwide network of volunteers, we create a strong, collaborative community that supports fostering, transportation, and all aspects of the Australian racing greyhound adoption journey.
Available Greyhounds
Since March 2024, we have welcomed over 150 greyhounds from the Aussie Mates in the States rehoming program, located in Sydney, New South Wales Australia. Our Aussie partners supply behavior and personality profiles of each greyhound before they arrive, including photos. We receive eight hounds once a month, at a minimum, and they find their forever couch within days of arrival. If no available greyhounds appear, we strongly encourage you to submit an application for greyhound adoption now. and we’ll get you in the queue to meet your new best friend. Many of our greyhounds are on couches in California, Nevada, Utah, New Mexico, Arizona, Arkansas and even Hawaii! If you’re located further away, we can still help.
We are expecting 16 dogs to arrive mid July and will continue to bring greyhounds in to meet the growing adoption demand. In fact, our goal is to work with our partners to find homes for 80 more greyhounds waiting to come to the States. We are very excited to share as much as we know about the arrivals. Photos and testing results (cat, small dog) will be updated as we get the information.

Our adoption fees only cover a small portion of our transportation expenses, vet care, medication, food and more for the greyhounds in our care. Any donation, large or small, is tax deductible and greytly appreciated.
